TGIF! This weeks ScatterTone of the Week goes to group alum, and last years President, RISHI MENON. Rishi graduated in August 2014, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. He was accepted into the ScatterTones his freshman year (September of 2010), and remained an active member for all four years of his undergrad. During his time with the group, Rishi recieved the solo (which he shared with India Carney) to one of the ScatterTones most iconic songs to date, Paradise. Rishi and India received the Best Soloist award for this song at ICCA Quarterfinals in 2013. Rishi also soloed on Waving flag at UCLAs Spring Sing in 2011, helping ScatterTones win the best a cappella group category. We asked Rishi what his favorite ScatterTone memory was and he said, One of my favorite memories in NYC 2012 for ICCA Finals was an impromptu jam session we had near LaGuardia High School. Within three minutes, we had attracted a crowd of at least 20 people, and growing rapidly. And it spurred us to keep going... until some rude security guard for the plaza came up broke us up. LOL! Since graduation, Rishi has been working on the upcoming ScatterTones album, as well as pursing his own artistic endeavors. Rishi has been taking dance classes, and teaching himself piano. For the future, Rishi plans to write and work on music, act and sing professionally. We love Rishi SO MUCH and love having him around in LA!
