THE MEASURE WITH WHICH YOU MEASURE WILL BE MEASURED OUT TO YOU, - TopicsExpress

THE MEASURE WITH WHICH YOU MEASURE WILL BE MEASURED OUT TO YOU, AND STILL MORE WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU. (Mk 4:21-25) He said t them, Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket or under a bed, and not to be placed on a lampstand? For there is nothing is secret except to come to light. Anyone who has ears to hear ought to hear. He also told them, Take care what you hear. The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you and still more will be given to you. To the one who has, more will be given; from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. Jesus teaches us that The measure we give we shall receive. i.e. If we give love we will receive the same. Do you give to others love or anger or both? How? Anything we give will always come back to us. And this is The Law of Cause and Effect or in our laymans term we call it Karma. All secrets will be brought to the open. That is why we are called to live as good Christians. And a good Christian prays regularly, hears mass regularly and go to confession regularly. But Jesus wants us to be more than that, for it is not enough that we are good, we have to do something out of the goodness in us. We cannot just keep the light of God to our self. We must put our faith into concrete actions. And that our life becomes a testimony of Gods graciousness and love. And that we should the tell the whole world the goodness God has done for us by doing the Will of God and sharing our time, talent and treasure to everyone without condition or limit. For still more will be give n to you. But if we keep it to ourselves the goodness God has don to us, even the little that we have will be taken away from us. Greed is the enemy of Good. We think we are good but we measure what we give yet we expect more from God? We always justify the wrong we have done without thinking that God knows everything. Yes we can cheat others but not God. When we are threatened that others may destroy our good reputation, we over react and our actions becomes worse than what we fear might happen to us. Sometime we instruct others to hide the truth for us, for our own motives and selfish gains. But God is there look at us and our malicious acts and intentions. And Jesus is challenging us that if we want to be come a true Christian then we should bring the light to the open and proclaim the Good News.
