THE MIMIX_PACTAC FROG LURE CHALLENGE!!! CONTEST PERIOD: 00:01 am February 01 to 11:59 pm February 28, 2015 CONTEST BRIEF: Open to any Philippine based anglers using Mimix Hopper Lite Frog Lures. Entries must post their pictures on Froggy Fishing Philippines (FFP) with the lure still in the mouth of the fish. Note: We will have monthly tournaments for the year 2015. Every month, a different Mimix lure will be the weapon of choice. At the year’s end, we will collate all the winners, and we will be awarding special prizes for : 1.) Dalag Angler of the Year (Most number of Monthly Wins) 2.) Toman Angler of the Year (Most number of Monthly Wins) 3.) Biggest fish on a Mimix Lure 4.) Mimix on Salt (water) – biggest catch. CONTEST ONLINE PRINCIPLES: Three guiding principles for having this “online” fishing tournament are: 1.) Geography: An on-line fishing tournament allows more anglers to join the fun because they are not encumbered by their distance to a particular venue nor a date for the tournament. 2.) Environment: An “online” tournament will spread out the fishing pressure and not tax one particular fishing spot. In the long run, this will preserve the ecosystem balance of all our fishing spots, making our favorite spots more enjoyable over a longer period of time. 3.) Responsible Angling: This goes hand-in-hand with protecting our fishing environment. We also want to protect our favorite target species. We encourage the practice of CNR (Catch And Release) or CPR (Catch, Picture, Release), proper reviving and releasing techniques, and the use of barbless hooks, fish friendly lip grips. If we take care of the fish we enjoy catching, we help in maintaining the limited fish stocks in ponds, helping us enjoy long term our favorite ponds. MONTHLY CONTEST CATEGORIES: Largest Striata Snakehead Largest Micropeltes Snakehead Largest Other Species CONTEST MECHANICS: 1.) Entrants must use Mimix Hopper Lite Lures for eligibility in the contest. 2.) There are no limitations to rod/reel/line specifications. An angler may have submissions in the different categories of the contest. One submission may be used in different categories (example: Longest Giant Snakehead and Fattest Fish) 6.) Comparing the earliest date of submission will break ties. 7.) The Sportsman’s Honesty system will be adhered to for all entries. (Winning by falsifying facts just makes the victory hollow) 8.) The List of winners will be posted 3 days after the close of the tournament schedule and prizes may be claimed at Pacific Tackles.
