THE PRESIDENTS SPEECH: MY SIMPLE COMMENT: Where he said any - TopicsExpress

THE PRESIDENTS SPEECH: MY SIMPLE COMMENT: Where he said any violence before, during and after elections would not be allowed, one would give a thumb up to the President. But where I have problem with that brilliant statement is in its ommision to also read the same riot act to overzealous security men used by supposedly members of ruling parties, as it has always been reported, to suppress members of the opposition. It also did not warn the INEC against its staff conniving with more advantaged politicians or party to upturn the decisions of the people through their votes. Recall an INEC staff (ad-hoc?), a professor, who was caught in act of electoral fraud and was arrested during the last Anambra governorship election. It therefore often unsettles me when even the most-powerful Nigerian would only read riot act to the people (voters or politicians) without also doing so to the electoral umpires whose actions and inactions, historically, have caused electoral violences Nigeria has had. Good morning Nigeria!
