THE PURPOSE-DRIVEN MARRIAGE... Yesterday,we shared on the background to a Purpose-driven Marriage. It was established that: 1. 98% of morden-day Christians romanticized the idea of what marriage should be by what they see in Hollywood than the roles prescribed for couples in the Holy Word. Today,we will touch on the original purpose of God for marriage. In His original plan,God seeks to use the Marriage Institution to SHAPE US INTO THE IMAGE OF CHRIST. As wiser as He is than us,God knows it is only in the image of Christ that all our needs that no man or woman on earth can meet,would be fulfilled. So,marriage is not that playground to be served,but to constantly serve each other and present the other spotless and blameless before God,as Christ demonstrated to the church. Studies has also proved that couples who has had lasting marriages are more roles-orient than romance-oriented. A CAVEAT: Let everyone who is not willing to suffer in love but to always receive love in marriage remain single,but also know that the whole commandment God gave man can be fulfilled in one word,LOVE. Beloved,let us love;for love is of God. If one does not love then the love of the Father is not in them;for God is love.
