THE REAL HONEST TRUTH ABOUT NIGERIA ……… NO.01 Serena darling, AEZEEGBOH OMAHLEECHAR NMEELEE ORMAH NKEHM, the REAL HONEST TRUTH ABOUT NIGERIA ………. whatever any one says …….. is that : [1] ALL THE NIGERIAN LEADERS / HEADS OF STATE / PRESIDENTS, etc SINCE INDEPENDENCE IN 1960 HAVE FAILED TO PROVIDE FOCUSED, VISIONARY, PURPOSEFUL LEADERSHIP AND THIS HAS HAD A TERRIBLE NEGATIVE DOWNSTREAM EFFECT ON NIGERIA FROM 1960 TILL DATE (2013) [2] THERE HAS BEEN AN ABSOLUTE FAILURE TO HONESTLY RECOGNIZE THE VARIOUS ASPIRATIONS OF THE DIVERSE ETHIC NATIONALITIES IN NIGERIA ---- IN THE ABSENCE OF THE SUPPRESSING, OPPRESSING, MIGHT AND POWER OF GREAT BRITAIN / ENGLAND / THE UNITED KINGDOM ( U.K )---- AND TO FASHION OUT A WAY TO EITHER : [A] ENABLE THOSE NATIONALITIES WITHIN THE NIGERIAN UNION THAT WISH TO LEAVE THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA AND EXIST AS INDEPENDENT COUNTRIES TO DO SO WITHOUT RANCOUR AND ACRIMONY OR [B] CONTAIN ALL EXISTING NATIONALITIES WITHIN THE NIGERIAN UNION UNDER AN AGREEMENT THAT PROVIDES FAIR, EQUITABLE TREATMENT TO ALL PARTS OF THE FEDERATING UNION. Serena my dear, let us take a look at the first statement, viz : ALL THE NIGERIAN LEADERS/ HEADS OF STATE / PRESIDENTS,etc SINCE INDEPENDENCE IN 1960 HAVE FAILED TO PROVIDE FOCUSED, VISIONARY, PURPOSEFUL LEADERSHIP AND THIS HAS HAD A TERRIBLE NEGATIVE DOWNSTREAM EFFECT ON NIGERIA FROM 1960 TILL DATE (2013). this is a strong statement. one way to check if this statement is true and correct or false and wrong is to draw up a list of all the Nigerian leaders/ heads of state / presidents,etc since independence on October 1, 1960 ---------- [ ……… i.e ……… 53 years ago, as 2013 – 1960 = 53. Serena my dear, as date …. i.e. 07.06.2013 …. Nigeria is currently 52 years as a self governing country and will turn 53 years old as a self – governing nation on October 1, 2013 / 01.10.2013 ……… ] --------- and see if their tenure in office had any notable positive impacts and / or any notable negative impacts on Nigeria and what these impacts ……. good or bad …. may or may not have been ……… and indeed, as some of these impacts are long lasting, there is also a need to see if their tenure[s] in office had any good impacts or bad impacts that can still be felt in Nigeria ……… and by Nigerians today ……… even though these leaders / heads of state / presidents, etc. may have left office or even be dead. yeah ……… alright. Serena my dear, i am going to proceed by {a} drawing up a list of all the Nigerian leaders/ heads of state / presidents, etc. that i can remember have ruled Nigeria since independence in 1960 and then {b} identifying those issues that are most striking to me about their tenures. my analysis may not be right. my analysis may not be correct. my analysis may not be accurate. my analysis t may not be detailed. but, it will be what i honestly believe. yeah ……… alright, here we go.
