THE SCGB, THE ESF, THE LAW CASE(S) ... Simon Butler is apparently going to European law to secure his case for teaching skiing in France. What about the Ski Club of Great Britain and its reps/Leaders? In parallel with the Simon Butler/BASI/ESF litigation (France and Scotland), a SCGB rep is being prosecuted by the French (supported by the ESF in Val dIsere) for ski-leading without approved qualifications. The SCGBs chairman Rob Crowder has taken strong exception to this, and says the Club is boycotting the ESF. I hear they have employed an ESF instructor as one of the Guides Puzzled Not surprisingly this has not gone down well with some members So ... who is the ESF instructor?
