THE TESTING OF OUR FAITH-3. The Word of God is the primary way God prunes our lives and it is also the least painful part of the pruning process. However, if the pruning does not work, God has to take a more painful approach to produce fruit and growth in our lives.The Father will prune us through trials! My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. (Jas 1:2-3) KJV Notice James did not say if you fall into divers temptations, but when you fall into them. Trials are inevitable! We cannot escape them! They come unexpectedly and uninvited! The question is, what are you and I going to do when the trials come? Is our attitude right? Do we try to resist the trials when they come? Do we grumble and complain when they come our way? Do we throw a pity-party? Do we throw our arms up in the air and cry out WHY ME? Or do we submit to the Hand of God and ask Him, What is it that You want me to learn from this? What it is that You are showing me about me, that You want me to change? The Fathers purpose is to produce the fruit of patience in our lives, and one way the fruit of patience is produced in our lives is through the trying of our faith. Know that trials are opportunities for us to grow. We dont always like them, but we have to admit...we sure learn how to trust God in the midst of them, because they stretch our faith!
