THIS IS A LEGISLATIVE ALERT! Today senators are being asked to co-sponsor legislation to repeal Alabama’s College and Career Ready Standards. This is despite the wide support for the standards among Alabamians and the repeated actions of the Alabama State Board of Education to prove they have total authority over what is taught in Alabama classrooms. I know that you all care about this issue, and work every day to make sure we are on the right path. Please call or email your senator today and request that he or she does NOT sign or agree to cosponsor any bill seeking to repeal Alabama’s College and Career Ready Standards. If your senator has already agreed to co-sponsor it, politely remind him or her that senators can remove their names from a bill before it is officially introduced, and request that he or she do so.
