Napoleon Hill state that before we can master an enemy, we must know its name, its habits, and its place of abode. As you read analyze yourself carefully, and determine which, if any of the five following threats have attached themselves to you. 4. Threat Of Failure If fear of failure is what is preventing you from starting a small business, you have to get around it and forge ahead. Many people have allow fear of failure in business to paralyze them from being in their own business, because they dont want to fail, never know that failure is the secret behind every successful business. Dont let your fear of failure prevent you from starting a business. You dont know whether your business will succeed or not, but the threat of being a failure will rub you off the business genius. Rather than focusing on failure, do your research and work hard towards achieving your goals. Take comfort in the fact that all entrepreneurs have failures along the way, but failures are learning experiences that can help make your business stronger. 5. THREAT OF RUNNING OUT OF MONEY Am a kind of person that loves to save money in other to re-invest it in my business, each time i made a sale i take out 20% gain and save. Which motivated me to set up a savings platform called ATMOSPHERE OF ENTREPRENEURS. You may be using your savings to live, and fear that starting a business will cause you to run out of money. It does take time to build a business and turn a profit. You can overcome this fear of running out of cash while youre building your business by saving extra money while you are making progress. You can also provide a related or unrelated goods or service right away to earn more money until you can run your business full-time. 6. THREAT OF BEING ALONE Workplaces have become a second home to many workers. Their social needs are met in addition to income. When youre starting a business, you may fear the opportunity to interact with peers. However, there are many opportunities to build relationships with people online and offline through joining groups, associations, forums, and social media sites. Its essential to build relationships for business and in business, and in the process, you may even gain a few friends. Thinking of the opportunities to grow your business through networking and relationships, this principles will help you to overcome your fears of being alone. 7. THREAT OF WHAT OTHERS MIGHT THINK Family and friends may not agree with your decision to become an entrepreneur or a business owner. (Likewise in my own family, i really face the challenge) They have jobs and expect you to have one too after graduating from high institution. Because they thought that when it comes to life career to choose going to school and graduating with a good result for acquiring high nice paying job is the best, sometimes i dont really blame them because that was what they where thought in our school. they do think its difficult to juggle becoming an entrepreneur and building a business from scratch. They might have concerns about job security and want you to have a safety net: a pay check. You can overcome your fears about what they think by planning your business and establishing goals. Write down how you plan to market yourself, generate sales and make money. You can then share your plans with close family members or friends to alleviate their fears. 8. THREAT OF LACK OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING Many entrepreneurs fear that they dont have the smarts or experience to run a business. In some cases, this fear is valid and you can overcome it by getting the right education and training you need to start your business. Others, however, have the skills and education needed to start their business and use this as an excuse not to get started. The root cause of this fear is usually laziness which is a derivative of INDECISION. Working on becoming diligent and a person of integrity backed with fidelity in everything you do will help you overcome this fear. Fear is the last thing that should prevent you from doing one of the most rewarding and profitable things in life: starting a business, you need to confront your fears and think through how to solve the problems underlying them. Planning and seeking help from others when needed will help you tremendously. Faith is the opposite of fear. Fear cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: but faith come that you might have life, and that yout might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10). Let me tell you an incredible thing, do you know that great men like Donald Trump also fears, but they act in-spit of their fear, so act in-spit of your far. How can you break your paralysis and do this? You have to do two things: 1. prepare to succeed 2. change your attitude to failure 1. PREPARE TO SUCCEED The first thing you need to do to prepare to succeed is to learn how to do it. You already know how to fail. You can fail by doing nothing or you can fail by doing stupid things. But how do you succeed? By finding out exactly what you would need to be successful and ensuring that those needs are met. For instance, suppose that I want to start a small business selling herbal soaps and bath products. For this business to be successful, I need to have essentially three things: A) Enough people who want to buy the soaps and bath products I’m selling B) A product whose quality and price is competitive enough that people want to buy it C) A way to bring the two of these (people and product) together. So these are the basic needs. Now all I have to do is figure out how to meet these needs. The best way to do this is to work through a business plan. The Business Plan Outline will lead you through the process of writing a business plan of your own. Working through a business plan will fill in the gaps in your knowledge and provide the details of how you’re going to do what needs to be done to start and run a particular small business successfully. Your business plan will be, in effect, your blueprint for success. Continue 2. CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARDS FAILURE Why are you afraid of failure? Most people fear failure for one of these two reasons: Failure makes you a bad person, a “loser” that others look down on. You could lose all or most of your money and/ or your possessions. Both of these are misconceptions. Failure doesn’t change your genes or your personality. It affects some people’s actions negatively, but it’s not negative in itself. Will you be a “loser” if you fail? Only if you allow yourself to be, because its a choice to be “It’s not being down; it’s staying down” that makes you a loser. Will others look down on you? Some people might. You can’t control the thoughts or actions of other people – so why lose sleep over them? As for losing all your money and/or possessions, its not very likely. You can structure your business in such a way as to limit your liability by incorporating or by forming a partnership. So you won’t lose all your money or possessions, even if your business does go belly-up. How important is the amount that you might lose? That’s a matter of perspective. Money is never as important as your health, in my opinion. My point is that failure can be uncomfortable and unpleasant, but is not life-threatening. And failure is always an opportunity of one thing or the another, an opportunity to stretch beyond our usual boundaries, to learn something valuable, or to make previously undreamed of connections. Remembering this positive face of failure and focusing on it will go a long way towards changing your attitude about it. Starting and running your own small business could be one of the most enriching experiences of your life. Don’t let your fear of failure make you miss out. You are not going to be able to outrun your fear. But eventually, once you build on enough successes, you will be able to tame it. Why not start now? Take action now and never look back. Never confuse movement with action. Ernest Hemingway “ You are what you do, not what you say youll do. C.G. Jung “ Do stuff. be clenched, curious. Not waiting for inspirations shove or societys kiss on your forehead. Pay attention. Its all about paying attention. attention is vitality. It connects you with others. It makes you eager. stay eager. Susan Sontag Your friend, financial and motivational coach Oscar Clement, an entrepreneurial advocate.
