TOPIC: TESTIFY AGAINST ME. TEXT: Micah 6:6-8. DATE: August 14. WORD FOR TODAY:... O my people, what have I done unto thee? And wherein have I wearied thee? Testify against me.....? Micah 6:3. God is just asking you to show why He will not do to you what He has said He will do. Many people take this scripture to mean that God has come to the negotiation table but that is not true. He is a just judge who seeks to give every one a fair hearing (see Isa. 1:18). He is not intrested in destroying anyone but that all will repent and do what is right. It hurts Him to know that after so many pleas many still remain adamant. I have seen the need for me to bring myself to the presence of the Lord in deep repentance over my insensitivity to people of late. I am greatly encouraged to come to the Father because I know his heart towards me. I hear the Lord crying out to me; testify for me. It just shows the heart with which He sent Jesus to die on Calvary. What about you - will you let this call pass you by or you would rather respond to it? As we draw closer to the end of the year, look through the studies we have gone through this year and see if you have been faithful in what you learnt. PRAYER: How will a man testify against his God? Teach me to submit to your will, dear Lord.
