TRASHGIVING: its Thanksgiving, but with your hiker family instead of that awful regular family you got saddled with at birth. So a big gluttonous celebration, but with the family youve chosen. The original Trashgiving takes place in New England (with Pilgrims and shit!), and has been going on for, I dont know, ten years or so. Maybe longer. Hard to tell, cause were all usually pretty drunk. And it traditionally happens the weekend AFTER Thanksgiving weekend. But theres a Trashgiving in SoCal as well now, and it sounds like maybe theres one in the Pacific Northwest. So maybe its time that this big ridiculous mess goes national. If youre a hiker in a town with hikers around, why not consider a Trashgiving Weekend? Its almost definitely going to be fun. Lets get it on!
