TREC DAY ORGANISED BY KILMACOLM AND KILALLAN RIDING CLUB 10TH AUGUST LANGDALES FIELD, HOUSTON HOUSE, PA6 7AR INSTRUCTORs: RHODA MCVEY and ANGELA BLACK Come and enjoy a Trec Training day in the beautiful Renfrewshire countryside! The day is open to all .There will be instruction in PTV ( navigating obstacles), map reading and orienteering. The PTV section will be run as groups. The orienteering route is approximately 6 km, crossing open country and using Renfrewshire lanes. Rhoda is a BHSAI. She is in the GB Trec squad and won the Level 2 British Championship in 2009 . Angie is an experienced Trec competitor, with many Scottish awards. We are grateful to Mr Tom Stewart for permission to ride the boundaries of his fields, and to Mr and Mrs Mack for access at The Wraes. Please bring a packed lunch. There are toilets , and water for horses. Riders need: A high vis vest, waterproof ( hope not!), pen, watch, hard hats ( if not tagged, this can be done on the day). Horses need: High Vis if possible, and normal tack . If a martingale is used then a head collar and lead rope must be worn. Fly repellent!
