TRY THEM FOR TREASON !!!!!!!! updates: i believe it is FITCH credit rating agency has put the u.s. on a credit warning until at least mid-1st quarter 2014. this means interest rates on borrowing by the u.s. government can be raised....if anybody will lend the u.s. govt money at this point. standard & poor says it is waiting a bit longer. - every day more terrible stories coming out as a result of government funding being stopped. people are being seriously hurt. - funding for meals on meals [for the sick & elderly homebound], WIC [women & infant] food programs, and food banks have been closed due to no funding. - money/asset management firms have started to move the investments of their clients out of u.s. treasury bonds [aka t-bills] because the fear interest will not be paid on them. - if the u.s. govt defaults, all interest rates on all existing loans, credit cards, mortgages, etc. will rise...causing some people to default on them cause they are not working due to govt closures and ancillary businesses closing as well. - more businesses will close cause people cant afford to shop, thus causing unemployment to rise. - in some areas medical care, including experimental treatment for terminally ill children, has already been stopped including at the NIH. - most of the veterans administration is closed...not processing veterans claims or funding. - u.s. govt defaulted on paying death benefits to military killed in action. the fisher fund, which builds and donates specialized housing for seriously injured military, is picking up the tab. - while the money is technically in a different system, it has been said there is a serious threat that social security checks [whether by mail or computer] will not go out at the beginning of the month. - the alaskan oyster fishing season is 3 months long each year. but the fisherman can not fish for oysters because the govt agency that issues them permits has been closed down. - due to an early freak 4-foot snowfall after a heavy rain, thousands of cows were stranded in summer grazing pastures...and froze to death. this not only killed this years beef and dairy crops for this year but many of the female cows were pregnant with next years calves. federal aid for these types of emergencies are unavailable because the office handling them is closed. many farmers are expected to loose their farms. - i cant believe the more moderate [are there really any more moderate goppers even left?] goppers have allowed themselves & america to be held hostage by these right-wing-nut-case teabaggers. THIS IS TOTALLY OUTRAGEOUS. i say this is TREASONOUS BEHAVIOR.
