#TUFACE REBIRTH IN TARABA STATE# “E be like say they want to tell me another story again oh E be like say they want to act another movie again oh…” -TuFace+Soul E(2006) When we say some of our secular and ganja-smoking musicians are more prophetic than some Bible-flaunting ‘men of God’, people will scream blasphemy but this is not further from the truth as can be seen in the messages of musical legends like Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Sonny Okosun, Lucky Dube and now our beloveth TuFace Idibia. We were thinking his prophetic lyrics that played out 3 years after he prophesied thus in 2006 that led to the Doctrine of Necessity as a prelude to the installation of the present government would be the end but here we go again. The drama and home movie that was shot during that unfortunate period when our Servant-Leader was incapacitated following his failing health led us to believe that most political jobbers on the corridors of power are only there on a selfish mission-Me, My Pocket and Mine. The unfolding debacle now in Taraba State is one that calls for us to heed the advice of Bob Marley: ‘emancipate yourself from mental slavery”. These politrickians are playing with our imaginations again. The flying Governor who was on a suicide mission 10 months ago was hurriedly brought back to assume his duties last Sunday in a show of Abracadabra. Learning from the ill-faithed attempted attempt to smuggle in the late Servant-Leader to the seat of power by his mysterious strategists in more mysterious circumstances, the Taraba State actors decided to take another dishonorable path when he touched down and was aided out of the chattered flight from the US even though he claims to be medically fit to resume and assume his executive duties. Defending the strange way he disembarked from that plane, Prof. Jerry Gana said because of the long flight from the US, the governor was feeling indisposed to address the press or to talk to his people who have been praying for his recovery the whole time he was away recuperating. However, this leads me to ask whether the Governor was the pilot or co-pilot of that flight from the US or if he was partying all through the flight and not sleeping? But Nigeria has become a country where anything and everything is allowed to go like that. Another twist into the Taraba home video is the Governor’s letter of notification to the state House of Assembly of his readiness to resume his office yesterday. The Governor who is not medically fit to pilot a two-seater Cessna plane anymore how can he pilot the destinies of over 2million people of Taraba State? With this ,the dramatist personnel are not done yet but hell bent on using the Governor as a pawn in this political chess game to promote their selfish agenda in preparation for 2015. B ut has the Governor become that gullible and maybe vegetable minded to think about his health-at least for his children’s sake? What about his wife who is itchy to return to power at the expense of her husband’s life? Is this how desperate we can be for power or do we return to TuFace’s prophesy again:’ E be like say they want to do another deceiving again oh’
