Take a few minutes in the morning to allow yourself to feel all of the emotions you have stuffed down because it wasn’t the time or the place for those emotions, or because you didn’t know how to handle them in the moment. Allow yourself to have the emotions in a quiet, controlled space, so that they can be felt and then released. Carrying around old emotions can really weigh you down; they contribute greatly to situations where you act in appropriately because old, unresolved issues have been triggered, and it makes it hard to be present and in the moment.
