Take the first step Zechariah 4:6: So he said to me, This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty When babies are about to walk, they crawl, then stand up and walk with the help of furniture, until they get the confidence to take their first steps on their own. They take one, two steps then fall. They get up and try again and before you know it, they have gained all the confidence they need and are running all over the place. Friend, if you havent taken your first baby steps, it is high time you started warming up. Take the first step, set up that business youve always wanted to start. Take the first step, and mend that broken relationship. Take the first step, walk away from things that are threatening your relationship with God. Take the first step, join or start that ministry you have been thinking about. Take the first step and you will be surprised at how far you can go. It might look like a huge risk, a jump into the unknown but remember you will never see what lies on the island, until you lose sight of the shore. Get off your comfort zone and dare to do more. Never mind that you might fall, it is all part of the baby walk, the Lord is by your side and He wont let you fall far from his presence. Take that leap of faith and take the first step, just walk.
