Taraba Budgets N96bn For 2015 Fiscal Year......!! Taraba Acting Gov. Alhaji Abubakar Danladi, on Tuesday presented the state’s appropriation bill of N96 billion to the House of Assembly for 2015 fiscal year. Danladi said that the budget was targeted at ensuring the completion of projects embarked upon by the administration and to ensure a smooth transition to the incoming government. He enjoined the people of the state to give maximum support to the government in its efforts at developing the state. Government alone cannot bring about the desired development because of scare resources. I therefore enjoin the citizens and the private sector to help government in developing the state. We are doing everything possible to promote small and medium scale enterprises and I urge you to take advantage of that,” he said. The budget breakdown indicated that recurrent expenditure estimate stood at N42, 652 billion, while capital expenditure was estimated at N53, 30 billion. The acting governor said that the budget, which is N13 billion higher than the 2014 budget, would be financed through projected internally generated revenue of over N4.5 billion, state refund from Federal Government of over N25.6 billion and the federal allocations. He said that the Ministry of Works was allocated N22 billion, the highest in the budget because of the need to provide more communities in the state with access roads. Dan-ladi said that the budget was coming at a crucial time of economic down turn with serious economic implications. He, however, said that the government was set to streamline its recurrent expenditure pattern in order to maintain the acceptable ratio between capital and recurrent expenditures. The Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Dr Mark Useni, said that members of the house would work hard to ensure speedy passage of the appropriation bill. (NAN) Always Remember Hon.
