Team sport has the ability to modify behaviour and this is what has impressed Fairview Heights State School Principal Julie Raitelli when it comes to her young charge Bailey Hope. Julie has recognised a significant improvement in Baileys attitude and effort and believes his selection in the Darling Downs AFL and Rugby League teams has been a contributing factor. This effort has been rewarded with selection in the Queensland Rugby League team to compete at the Nationals in Woollongong this weekend. Bailey becomes only the second player to represent the school in a State team over the last decade and it has proved a real boost for the interschool sports program in terms of increased numbers. Fantastic stuff Bailey and we wish you and the Queensland team every success at the Nationals.
