Tel Rumeida, al- Khalil (Hebron): There was an accidental fire on the 30th May in the Jewish Cemetery. A Palestinian fire engine attended and ensured no damage. A revenge attack was expected on the Abu Haikal land and sure enough at 4pm yesterday, settlers from nearby illegal settlements set fire to the Abu Haikal olive grove. Israeli soldiers adjacent to the land were alerted immediately but it took them a long time to respond. Similarly it took the Palestinian fire engine a long time to get permission to get through the checkpoint. Fortunately there seems to have been no major damage to the trees this time.
