Terbang Terbang tinggi Walau tanah di kaki kan ku cari langit Terbang terbang tinggi Awan biru menanti bersama pelangi I have made few work commitments few weeks ago that I was fully aware of their workload. I thought I should just braze it. I didnt expect a lot of personal challenges came interweaving simultaneously. One of the commitments were the Islamic Fashion Festival show (IFF) just two days ago. It really reminded me of times in my life where challenges were piling back to back. One could either cave in or just plow through it. Interestingly enough, this was also the time I spent a lot of hours reflecting about my business, about life , what do I want to be when I grow up etc. Edan Kesmaran Ungu was my theme for the show. Basically it means Crazy for Purple, the overall IFF theme was Melayu Manis. My biggest challenge was trying to not fall in the stereotype of the word Melayu Manis. I knew I wanted to bring something different, unexpected to the runway. A fusion of Melayu Manis and some modern characteristics. But thats always how I approach everything in my life anyway. Always wanting to do something a little different, pave a slightly different path, retract from the norm, and while all these are viewed positively, Im also known to be glutten for punishment. If road to A is easy, I somehow always manage to find myself struggling with road B, C, D yet still refusing A My mood was very sombre days and hours leading to the show, peaking the nite before. I was lucky I had people working , burning the midnite oil w me. After many songs consideration, this particular song spoke to me. I chose it as my runway song. And thats all I held to, for many hours after that. Despite the background noises, I set my volume high in my mind and just ready to terbang, terbang tinggi..
