Thank you Elanit, Rebekah and Robin for nominating me for the Ice Bucket Challenge to help raise awareness of ALS. For those who may not be fully aware of what ALS is according to the ALS Association, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as Lou Gehrigs Disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that destroys nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. When the motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost. Thus, without voluntary muscle action, this disease leaves affected individuals completely paralyzed depriving them of even the ability to breathe without the help of a ventilator. So, to continue to help raise ALS awareness, I now nominate AJ AJ Dopp Christin Bogley and Eliana Twilley you guys have 24 hours to either donate $100.00 to the ALS foundation or douse yourselves in ice water!
