Thank you for all your posts requesting for an update on Scrappy. Your concern and offers to donate are greatly appreciated. When Scrappy first came in, his head was so swollen you couldn’t see his eyes, he was heavily bruised, he was in shock and urinating blood. We gave him heavy doses of fluids to get him out of shock and today the bruising is better, his head is still swollen but not nearly as bad as yesterday and he is no longer urinating blood. We have a narcotic pain patch on him to help with the pain. He is having some liver issues due to the heavy bruising he sustained and we are monitoring his liver values. As you can see from the before and after pictures below, Scrappy is doing much better today and we are hopeful he is on his way to a full recovery. We will keep you posted on his progress.
