I had an amazing... well maybe it didnt used to be amazing, but it was sure a wonderful and welcome experience and was amazing for the times we live in. My van had a slow leaking tire. So I took it to Bill Day Tire Center in Tyler Texas. The desk clerk checked me in and was polite! (Shocking!) Then there was a runner who went and got my car and turned it over to a technician/mechanic. No need for the mechanic to get his grubby feet or his rubber stained paws on the inside of my car. (Shocked again!) The mechanic couldnt find the leak on the first pass so he asked me the symptoms and if I had put any tire sealant in. (A mechanic who asks the customer what is wrong...you guessed it. Shocked!) Then the mechanic called me to the shop floor to show me he had identified a leak along the inside bead of the tire. He explained that he would dismount the tire, clean the rim and bead and apply a special bead sealant and with confidence said, It will not leak. (Shocked yet again!) The mechanic spent about 1/2 of his time loving my tire as if it was his own. The runner appeared, drove my car from the shop to the front parking space and delivered my paperwork to the clerk. I went to the desk to pay my bill, and the clerk thanked me and handed me the keys. I said, How much do I owe you? He said, No charge, if there had been a charge, (the other clerk) would have written it on a better form. (Im getting kind of numb from being shocked by now.) I said, But, Im not from around here. The clerk asked, What brings you to Tyler? I replied proudly, Thanksgiving with my family. He said, Then tell them about us and we will make them a good deal when they need tires. I left amazed that a tire company could pay a mechanic for his time and only want me to pass the word. Well, guess what... I am passing the word! Bill Day Tire Centers on Broadway in Tyler Texas rocks! It truly was amazing to have such good service, which I would have gladly paid a premium for, delivered for free! If you ever need someone who will love your car like you do and are in Tyler, I would suggest checking out Bill Day Tires! I hope you will be as shocked as I am!
