Thanks Patil. Not necessarily the best books I have ever read but the ones which stayed with me a little longer than the rest: 1. And the Mountain Echoed, Khaled Hosseini: A sure sign that a naturally gifted writer has matured. Universal worldview. 2. The Godfather, Mario Puzo: You simply cannot not like this book. Epic character study. 3. Aahe Manohar Tari, Sunita Deshpande: Musings about self, life, society and everything. Beautifully written and immensely relatable. 4. Gods Debris, Scott Adams: Interesting perspective on religion, God and human race. 5. To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee: Racism through the eyes of innocent. A modern classic. 6. Vyakti Aani Valli, P.L.Deshpande: Have never read such an alive and round characterization and an extra-ordinary celebration of ordinary that permeates almost every aspect of life. 7. The Reluctant Fundamentalist, Mohsin Hamid: An insightful read on terrorism, desperation, international politics and the identity conflict. 8. Dharmik, Anil Avchat: A hard-hitting critique and in-depth analysis of religious (mal)practices in Maharashtra and underlying class and caste-politics. 9. The Fountainhead, Ayan Rand: Individualism vs collectivism. Not subscribing entirely to all her views but worthy enough to stimulate an intellectual discussion. 10. The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams: Witty, intelligent, humorous. Cant get enough of it. Still reading. I ask Deep Karpe, Soham Patwardhan, Vibhav Katre and Indraneel Dharwadkar to list 10 books which that stayed with you or affected you one way or the other.
