Thanks for the add for the group. I have this question to ask fellow fans of the Bee Gees. Which period of the Bee Gees do you prefer: the late 1960s baroque pop and rock/psychedelic leaning they did Spicks and Specks up to Idea/Odess, the folk rock/popish/melodic flirting of the early 1970s which albums like Cucumber Castle to Whom it May Concerm, the intermim period between 72-75 when they moved to LA, the disco phase 75-80, or their post-diso stuff. Im going to get a lot of responses to this question. I had listen to some 60s Bee Gees stuff like its pretty good. There are some songs they couldve released as singles in the US that couldve been hits. I know when people hear about the Bee Gees there is that instant thought Saturday Night Fever and disco. Yeah, but the Bee Gees were not all a disco band. Ive been trying to figure why did the Bee Gees shift from a folk rock/melodic in the early 70s to disco by 1975-76. Was it trying to stay relevant or exploring new style? I doubt it was because of money.
