Thanks for the nomination Rachael! I found this quite hard tbh. So much good stuff has influenced me. So...my top ten influential books. Here goes. 1. Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller For broadening my horizon and pretty much saving me from myself. 2. Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis For deepening my roots into my greatest Hero. 3. Messy Spirituality by Michael Yaconelli For moving me towards accepting myself and others. 4. He Loves me by Wayne Jacobsen For re-calibrating me. 5. Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, Author For moving me to feel the privilege of dancing with narrative. 6. Patriachs and Prophets by Ellen G. White For the window looking beyond black ink and white paper. 7. The Shack by William Paul Young For teaching me to pray to my mother. 8. Pilgrims Progress by John Bunyan For situating me in the story. Giving hope. Securing blessing. 9. Life of Pi by Yann Martel For helping me understand the ache of humanity and the blessing of choice. 10. Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin Memorial For real sacrifice. I nominate Tamar (Amy Joyeux - please get him to do this.), Chris and Darja! What are your top ten?
