Thanks so much for signing the petition to demand that the European Union impose sanctions on China, a country that has been, more often than not, the subject of reports about serious human rights and animal rights violations. The Chinese government censors all public discourse, from newspaper articles to online exchanges. Twitter is just one social media site that is banned in China. While Chinese citizens can use a Twitter-like service, Weibo, to stay informed and dialogue with each other, the Communist government routinely blocks out all mention of politically sensitive phrases. It is the case that more Chinese are keeping dogs and other animals as well-loved pets. But its not at all uncommon to hear about animals -- in Chinas crowded, traffic-choked cities; on farms -- suffering terrible abuse, or about cats, monkeys and other animals being kept in cages and then eaten. Will you help spread the word about this petition call on for an EU embargo on China? Please forward the email below, or click here to share on Facebook and Twitter. Thanks again for your help. ==== Delete above text and Forward the text below ==== Hi, More often than not, China has been the subject of reports about serious human rights and animal rights violations.
