Thanks to a friends post... got wind of the John Williams-Steven Spielberg gala event at the DSO on June 14. Tickets go on sale April 14, and this sounds like it could be a memorable event. Ive not been to the DSO in decades, and so, I dont know if thereve been renovations, changes in seating since the late 70s.. Last concert I attended downtown was at The Fillmore 7 years ago (Keane) . Before that was at the Fox back in late 80s (Daryl Hall and John Oates). Those were casual outings, so Id like, as a change, to dress for an an event and this Wiliams-Spielberg gig sounds like it would fit. Who knows..? I may get a chance to rub elbows with either Johnny or Stevie. Im practicing, just in case, to engage in sho-biz banter.... Im dying to ask Was ET really as demanding on the set as some people claim? and Was there hanky panky going on between Chewie and the Ewoks? As I said.. tickets go on sale in mid April... from $30 to $250 each. I do kinda wonder where a 30-buck ticket will seat me... and whether a date would get peeved if I didnt get us better vantage.
