Thanks to you all for so much love and kindness and all the wonderful birthday wishes. Im in London right now trying to get my head around a few things and looking forward to a completely fresh start in life and living. First and foremost is where can I live and work as a British / Irish passport holder without needing a work / residence permit? It has to be somewhere hot and sunny, so anywhere in Northern Europe is out of the question. Its time to say kwaheri ya kuonana to Kenya and Africa. Not to say I never want to come back, as I will of course, with my safaris. I love Africa and it will always be for me the worlds most exciting and interesting continent, but its now very much time for a change of domicile. I want to be based somewhere sunny where THINGS WORK, where CORRUPTION is not an issue and where you get back what you pay your taxes for. The world is a huge and beautiful place, and I have never been east of Dubai or west of Cork. Somewhere in the western hemisphere appeals greatly - southern / south-western U.S.A. or the British Protectorates in the Caribbean (e.g. Turks and Caicos or St. Kitts / Nevis) ;-) Any advice appreciated.
