But what is more odd, in that highways across America at the time were mostly all Asphalt pavements which is of course is an oil petroleum product would there be just on time in the 1960s a Route 66. Goofy as it now is with memorabilia.........who were the Department of Highway folks who before the Interstate Federal Highway systems were in place put the number for a route which would become legend in America?
