The 1st Layug Marathon Rules & Regulations: 1. The event is open to male and female running enthusiasts of all ages and nationalities. Participants must submit the registration form at Buff Up Gym & Fitness Center (Rizal St., Tayug) or at Jay’s Bike Shop (Quezon Avenue) on or before December 15, 2013 with the accompanying proof of age (any valid I.D. or birth certificate). 2. Participants aging below 18 years old must secure their parents/guardians approval to join the event. 3. Participants must be on time during the scheduled marathon Gun Starts--6:00am (15K), 6:10am (7K), and 6:20am (3.5K) 4. All participants must wear the Race Bibs pinned on the front of their race jersey/singlet at all times during the race. Participants caught deviating from the race route, taking shortcuts, exchanging their Race Bibs with another runner will automatically be disqualified from the race. Only the first 20 finishers of each category will be awarded the Finishers Medallion. Other finishers after the 20th shall only be given a Finisher’s Certificate. But in order to be awarded the Finishers Medallion & Finishers Certificate, participants must be wearing all the mandatory race check color-coded bands upon crossing the Finish area. Incomplete bands may subject the participant to disqualification. The color of the bands will be revealed to the participants on race day. 5. Should a participant make a protest, he or she must put it in writing & submit the written protest to the Race Organizers within 30 minutes of the announcement of the official race winners. A protester is also required to post a P100 protest fee for every written protest submitted. 6. The Organizers fervently encourage and support sportsmanship, integrity and fairness among all participants in all facets of cheerleading but the organizers maintain and enforce a zero tolerance policy for unsportsmanlike conduct by any and all participants and their patrons. The Organizers reserve the right to remove participants, their supporters and spectators from the event venue should offensive or inappropriate behavior toward other participants, event officials or spectators occur. 7. The decision of the Organizers is final.
