The 2014 NUJ PRESS WEEK was smashing, with a dinner/award party at the Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat as the finale, Tuesday eveniñg. I wish to say hearty congratulations to my boss, Mr. Cletus Ukpong(R) on his befitting honour as the 2014 REPORTER OF THE YEAR by the NUJ. Having been with his media establishment in the past one year, I can boldly submit that Mr. Ukpong is one of the few news managers who know what is actually news and what news it (having nose for rare news). I may not have gained money or riches working with him but I have enjoyed the privilege of sharing ideas. I appreciate the NUJ Chairman, Elder Patrick Albert and the P/Committee for sternly observing credibility and merit in selecting the awardees.
