The American Legion National Headquarters Today marks the observance of Patriot Day, a date set aside to remember those who were injured or died during the terrorist attacks in the United States on Sept. 11, 2001. Americans should fly their flags at half-staff and observe a moment of silence to honor those individuals who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attacks. If you have a family member or loved one killed in the attacks, please accept our sincere condolences. And please remember the first responders who gave their lives trying to save others on that day.
