The Boston Islamic Center in Jamaica Plain is expanding. The masjid that we have grown up in, the House of Allah that has taught us all that we know about Islam is going through a challenging period. Since 2001, we have been renting a small house in Jamaica Plain, but that house is now too small for our growing membership base and we need to find a new location as soon as possible. We have found a building that was formerly a church and we need over a million dollars to secure its purchase and renovations. With your help, we may have a location that we can call our own, to continue worship and educating the next generation of Muslim leaders. We must reach out to our other brothers and sisters to help us gain this money. Ibn Maajah narrated from Jaabir ibn ‘Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, like a sparrow’s nest or even smaller, Allaah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
