The Columbus Area Arts Council has announced the deadline for the 2014 2015 grant cycle for the Indiana Arts Commissions Regional Initiative Grants. Any organization applying for funding in the Arts Project Support/Mini Grants and Arts Organization Support categories must submit an electronic application to the Indiana Arts Commission by March, 3, 2013. All grant application guidelines are available for download from artsincolumbus.org. Anyone needing assistance with the application process should contact Regional Services Director, Jeff Kuehl, at (812) 376 2535 or [email protected]. To aid arts organizations in the grant application process, three grant information sessions have been scheduled. The first is Friday January, 10 at the conference room of the Switzerland County Public Library located at 205 Ferry St. in Vevay, Indiana. The meeting will begin at 3:00 p.m.. The second session will take place on Wednesday, January, 15, at the Dillsboro Civic Club Building located at 9824 Central Avenue in Dillsboro, Indiana. This meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. The final session will be on January, 17 at the conference room of the Columbus Area Arts Council located at 300 Washington St. in Columbus, Indiana. This meeting will begin at noon. These sessions are open to any non-profit organization, municipality or school that is planning arts related activities for the upcoming fiscal year. The Indiana Arts Commission established the Regional Partnership Initiative in 1995 to better provide arts services to the residents of Indiana. The Columbus Area Arts Council is the Regional Partner for the southeastern Indiana region, which covers Bartholomew, Dearborn, Decatur, Franklin, Jackson, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley and Switzerland counties. In addition to providing funds, the Regional Partnership also provides technical assistance and, information and referral arts and cultural organizations in the region.
