The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) is where the federal government would dictate education core standards to State of Alaska and to our local AK community governments. I champion cyber schools, home schools, charter schools, vouchers, and I m willing to look at other out of the box quality education delivery thinking. I firmly believe that as a nation if we operate our education system with a diverse and more competitive paradigm approach that we can once again provide a K-12 education second to none. I also believe that the States ought to have control over their education policies with little to no interference from the federal government.
