The Dragon Shake The Arts In Medicine program at MD Anderson has played a profound role in the lives of our kids. Ju spent countless hours melting away in a fairy tale world and creating magical, authentic masterpieces that did not at all reflect her actual melancholy and nauseous state of mind. It was more than therapy- an escape from cancer- if only for an hour. We, too, find it refreshing and therapeutic to create and imagine ourselves BEFORE cancer changed our lives. Art took a twist when fellow pediatric patient and artiste, Madylyn (19), decided to conclude our art session with a spontaneous rendition of the Harlem Shake. Needless to say, with fun like this, we drummed up some new business for the Arts In Medicine Sea Dragon project! Visit Floor 2 at Elevator F in The Park and get in on the fun!
