The Ekiti gubernatorial election has come and gone, leaving behind - TopicsExpress

The Ekiti gubernatorial election has come and gone, leaving behind some lessons to be learnt by both the ruling elites and the followers. Dr Ayo Fayose would have won the election even if he contested on the platform of a party that is not known. The victory is not a party victory. It is not PDP victory. It is personality-induced victory. Following both the chemistry and sociology of voters body language, there is a fire on the mountain for the opposition party,APC. It would not be a surprised thing if the likes of Okorocha and Aregbesola are defeated in the next election. Lagos state can be won by PDP if it throws up a credible candidate. The Lagosians are sick and tired of too many a law and everything a tax.. Before now, people saw Okorocha as a man of the people,as a man of good-will. His philanthrophic strides registered him into the heart of thousands of million of people. He was seen before now as a messiah. But the peoples perspective has change about him. His sheep has romancely walked with dog,and is now eating faeces. For whoever doubt me should go to Imo state and conduct opinion poll. People now have a reserved card for Okorocha, and that card will be brought to the table come 2015. It is unfortunate that Okorocha has betrayed his people and is playing along the gallery of divide-and-share game of his party leaders. Though,in a slow pace, people are gradually turning down the so called leaders who enmass wealth for themselves and their immediate families at the detriment of the citizens. The same can be said of Aregbesola of Osun state. Though, unlike Okorocha,he has no philanthropic antecedent and he has a weaker charisma compared to that of Okorocha.
