The Glasgow 2014 Queens Baton Relay will be in the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) between April 15 and 18 for the TCI leg of the Relay. The relay is the curtain raiser to the 20th Commonwealth Games. Over a period of 288 days the baton will visit 70 nations and territories, cover 190,000 kilometres and involve a third of the worlds population, making it the worlds most engaging relay. The Relay symbolizes the coming together of all Commonwealth nations and territories in preparation for the four-yearly festival of sport and culture that takes place in Glasgow, Scotland, 23 July – 3 August this year. The team of Ariella Astwood, Marie Charles and Jenny Fleurenvil copped the first prize. Kayanna Gibson of the Marjorie Basden High School placed second and third prize went to Albright Dor and Aravna
