The Global Arts Village: CALL FOR ARTISTS During the Research Stage of the Global Arts Village we would welcome outline creative proposals from artists that respond directly to our key themes of LAND, RITUALS & FOOD (-please read our outline, setting the context for our programme) This is an ambitious international project so we are looking to work with artists from all over the world and with rural communities far and wide; we are open to working with artists working in all art forms and are keen to hear how you / your organisation could work with us to build an exciting international village that connects and inspires artists and communities; placing environmental sustainability needs into a creative global arena, profiling diverse artists and communities creating great art. Please note; the delivery of artistic collaborations will be subject to us securing further funding. Based on the outcomes of our research we will be making a series of funding applications during Autumn 2013 with the aim of starting our Global Arts Village programme from February 2014. HOW TO GET INVOLVED If you are interested in collaborating with us on the development of the Global Arts Village we are accepting creative proposals for work up to and including the 15th August 2013. We would be grateful if your outline proposal could cover the following key areas: Some information about you and your work i) Your track record as an artist/ arts organisation (including a current curriculum vitae, a website link (if you have one) and no than 5 images of previous work ii) A brief explanation of your practice and its relevance to our programme and your experience of sharing your work with an audience or participants. Your creative response iii) What you feel you can offer to the Global Arts Village: a brief outline of your idea/ideas – what, where and who it will involve; indicating who you will collaborate with, how you will engage with rural communities, and if there is a legacy or sustainable element to your proposal. iv) A rough timetable for realising your idea and an outline budget, if possible.
