The Great White Throne Judgment Part 2 The Greek word used for the Great White Throne Judgment is Krino. This word means to punish, to condemn, to sentence, to damn. This is precisely what happens at this judgment. All those who stand before the Great White Throne will be sentenced and condemned to spend eternity in the lake of fire. Jesus is the Judge at the Great White Throne Judgment. John 5:22 says, For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son. Romans 2:16 says, In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ. As Jesus is God the Son, and Jesus sits at the right hand of God the Father, when one stands before God, they are also standing before Jesus. : The Great White Throne Judgment occurs after the end of the Millennium. Revelation 20:7 says, When the thousand years are expired. After the thousand year Millennium, the Great White Throne Judgment takes place. Acts 17:31 says, He hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained. There is an appointed day for this judgment, and that day occurs after the Millennium. At the Great White Throne, everyone will be judged according to their works. Revelation 20: 12-13 says, The books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works ... and they were judged every man according to their works. This is another reason that this judgment is not for Christians. Christians will not be judged according to their works. Titus 3:5 says, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us. Galatians 2: 16 says, A man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ...for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Since the wicked did not accept justification through faith in Jesus, they are cursed by their works (Galatians 3: 10-11).Everyone at the Great White Throne Judgment will be judged out of books. For the Christian, our deeds will be brought to life from the things written in the books of us. This is so we will receive our rewards according to our works, which are written down. For the wicked, who are already condemned, the things which are written in these books will determine the degree of punishment in the lake of fire. We cant be sure of what is written in those books, but we can be sure that God keeps meticulous records. The Bible gives us clues to what might be in these books. The Bible speaks clearly of three things that everyone will be judged on. These three are words, deeds and thought. Matthew 12:36-37 says, But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Here it is clear that our words will be in one of the books. Ecclesiastes 12:14 says, For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be bad. This states that our deeds will be played back and have a part in determining our fate. Even those deeds that we thought no one knew about. Luke 8:17 says, For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known. Think about it.
