The Hope Of Israel... Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins. - Psa 130:7-8 God alone is the hope of Israel and Israel is the natural children and chosen people of God on earth. The hope of Israel never disappoint them; When they were few in number, Indeed very few, and strangers in it. When they went from one nation to another, From one kingdom to another people, He permitted no one to do them wrong; Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.” (Psalms 105:12-15 NKJV) • But despite the love and faithfulness of God to Israel, they forsake Him and went after the ways of the Gentiles which resulted in their rejecting by their Hope; As it is written; Therefore my people have gone into captivity, Because they have no knowledge; Their honorable men are famished, And their multitude dried up with thirst...My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. “The more they increased, The more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame. (Isa 5:13. Hos 4:6-7 NKJV) • Although Israel were rejected by God, His love for them remains intact that He sent His prophetess to tell them about His wonderful plan for them; Unless the LORD of hosts Had left to us a very small remnant, We would have become like Sodom, We would have been made like Gomorrah. Hear the word of the LORD, You rulers of Sodom; Give ear to the law of our God, You people of Gomorrah: “To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?” Says the LORD. “I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fed cattle. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, Or of lambs or goats...Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land; (Isaiah 1:9-11, 18-19 NKJV) • Do you know that despite Gods good words to turn Israel back to Him, they rejected all He sent; Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear...In transgressing and lying against the LORD, And departing from our God, Speaking oppression and revolt, Conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter. So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Then the LORD saw it, and it displeased Him That there was no justice. He saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; And His own righteousness, it sustained Him. (Isaiah 59:1-2, 13-16 NKJV) • God decided to save Israel and the world since in Adam all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and the people of Israel He chose to be means of salvation also failed Him; So He came down to the world He created to save and bless us; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...In Him was life, and the life was the light of men...And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth...And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ...The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:1, 4, 14, 16-17, 29 NKJV) • John was the last prophet God sent to point His people to the Hope of Israel and the whole world. But here is what happened, He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:10-13 NKJV) + The Word, Whos God came to save the world He created, and the world did not know Him because the world through their wisdom did not know God, then it pleased God through the foolishness of the gospel preached to save those who believe (I Corinthians 1:21). + The Word, Whos God came to His own natural children Israel, and His own chosen people did not receive Him because they were looking for signs from heaven and in vain they worship God, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ For laying aside the commandment of God, they hold the tradition of men. They reject the commandment of God, that they may keep their tradition. Making the word of God of no effect through their tradition which they have handed down. And many such things they do (Mark 7:7-9,13). • So both the Jews and Gentiles rejected but it was according to Divine purpose; For the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. (Galatians 3:22 NKJV) > Now as many as believed and receive JESUS has received the promised blessings of Abraham and the Holy Spirit by faith (Gal 3:13-14). • Therefore, as the prophet charged Israel to put their hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with Him is full redemption. He Himself will redeem Israel from all their sins; Both the Jews and Gentiles together are charged to believe the gospel of Jesus Christ; For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. (Ephesians 2:14-18 NKJV) • Observing the law of MOSES and principles of holy me of old time cannot save a soul from sin and death; the blood of bulls and goats cannot remove the sins of the people, but the gospel of Christ does; As Paul clearly said, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:16-17) • The Jews who reflect Jesus through the preaching of His gospel and still waiting for the hope of Israel the Messiah, are still observing the law of Moses e.g sacrifices, offerings, tithes, temple etc. > But those who have believed and received Jesus as God the hope the whole world, have no condemnation in Christ Jesus, they do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made them free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:1-2). • We now walk by faith, not by sight. For if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (II Corinthians 5:7, 17). > We have genuine faith thats working through the love of Christ, and we have the hope that does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us (Gal 5:6. Rom 5:5). • The hope that does not disappoint is in Jesus of Nazareth alone; the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. (Colossians 1:26-28 NKJV) • Is Christ in you? If Christ is not in you, theres no hope of eternal life for you; and what you need what Jesus went about and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” (Mark 1:15 NKJV) > Jesus is the gospel(good-news, the hope) for the whole world, for without Him we all are heading to eternal destruction; therefore I am calling you to repent and believe in the gospel of Christ; “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above ) or, “ ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead)...The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” (Romans 10:6-13 NKJV) + Friends, I see you saved and free from sin, death, disease, satan, sickness, demons, evil, devils and the wrath to come; And I welcome you to the household of faith today with joy in Jesus Name! Amen! (Read Jn 8:31-36. 2Cor 6:2,14f)
