The ICCE / International Centre For Certification And Education Of Addiction Professionals / The Colombo Plan is conducting a Cost Sharing Training Initiative (CSI) on The Recovery Coach and Developing Community-based Recovery Support Systems from 17 - 21 November, 2014 in Cape Town, South Africa. The CSI will be organised in collaboration with Light House, an NGO working in the area of Drug Demand Reduction in Cape Town. Who is a Recovery Coach?? A Recovery coach (RC) is a person currently working as a peer to assist other individuals in recovery. He/She provides support to individuals with Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and helps them to achieve their personal recovery goals by promoting self-determination, personal responsibility, and empowerment inherent in self-directed recovery.
