The Measure of A Man Is it that he stood six foot four Or that he stood for God,Family,Country and all things fair. Is it that he weighed two hundred and fifty pounds Or one hundred and sixty with a thousand pound heart. That he drove a big new fancy car Or that he drove his family to church every Sunday in an old station wagon. That he had a college degree Or an eighth grade education and was self-taught with intelligence far beyond his schooling. That he lived in a big fancy house Or a small humble home built with his own two hands. That he traveled the world in style Or took his kids fishing and hunting and taught them a love of the outdoors. As a boy when your old truck broke down Did he take it to the shop or roll up his sleeves and say ,come on boy I’ll show you how to fix it. Did he go to the bank with a stack of titles and papers to back up his needs Or was his hand shake and signature all that was necessary. That when he departed this world he left behind property and riches Or precious memories in the hearts of all that knew him.
