The moment came And Gods hand caused me to yield I am David A man after Gods own heart In His name I braved the battlefield I am rude awakenings - I am peaceful sleep I am silent tears when mothers weep I am Mohammad moving In the mountainside Providing solace So the pure may gather near I am Buddha Sitting in the garden Guiding all who seek A pathway clear I am enlightenment - I am his-own-to-each I am nirvana and the height all souls can reach I am Gandhi Fasting for a change to come Knowing all the while A change does not come fast I am Martin Looking from the mountaintop Smiling down Because I am free at last I am truth marching for justice in the street I am a victory that loves those I defeat I am all things - I speak through many voices I am all at once - And I am many choices You have killed the messengers But I am love and love forgives Through the ones That I am now The Message Lives
