The Million Metres Stream project, which was launched last month, is now well underway, funding restoration projects for their field partners (us included!), This non-profit project is set up to restore the health of New Zealand waterways, metre by metre, stream by stream. Three of their project sites either infill our riparian covenants or plant tributaries upstream of our covenants. Our Waiau (Southland) reps project, Tributaries of the Whitestone River, has already raised $23,292 towards its $50,400 goal. We are excited with how successful fundraising for this project has been so far. It is important to maintain that momentum so that we reach our funding target and the planting can begin this winter.
