The Minister of Gender and development Minister, Julia Duncan Cassell is congratulating her female team for the excellent performance over the weekend at the Antoinette Tubman stadium on Lynch Street. The Girls of Minister Julia Duncan over the weekend crushed NPA Managing Director, Matilda Parker in a superb fashion to walk away with the women football championship. The just ended competition which was organized in honor of Youth and sports Minister, Eugene Nagbe witnessed a tension packed grand final at the Antoinette Tubman stadium. Minister Julia Duncan girls were quicker to defeat the women football team of Madam Parker in the face of Liberia’s chief patron of sports, President Sirleaf and U.S ambassador accredited near Monrovia, Madam Deborah Malac. Speaking to Reporters after her side victory, Minister Cassell added that the high level of discipline exhibited by the teams demonstrate the willingness of the athletes to take their career to another level. It was quite an interesting weekend as both teams celebrated the successful manner in which the tournament was organized to pave their way to the national county sports meet. Meanwhile, Minister Cassell might just be the most successful manager this season following couple of successes including the LBA championship which the Rollers of Barrolle won and the Independence women football championship to mark her 2nd trophy in succession.
