The Ministry of Manpower has charged five companies for breaching the Employment Act. Their offences included making employees work excessive hours, not paying workers on time, and making unauthorised salary deductions. Employers must be familiar with employment laws and give employees their statutory benefits. MOM will take action against employers that flout or disregard our employment laws.
