The Moon is just past first quarter today, in the sign of Leo. Meanwhile the Sun in Aries opposes Mars retrograde in Libra. Mercury enters Aries. CNN Headline: Weve lost the pings. Image: an argument breaks out and must be resolved by an anxious diplomat...the diplomat may not be as objective as she appears. Image: The heros dignity is put to the test by an ethical dilemma. Image: The fight is put on pause in order to have fun...because both parties secretly desire each other more than they despise each other. Image: The King calls for a staged fight. Wants it to look as real as possible. Image: Staged diplomacy leads to someone getting their own way. Image: While two men are jousting in a crowded pavilion, an angel lifts out of the city fountain. Nobody is there to see it. It will present itself in three days. Image: a war of words is building. With the Moon in fiery Leo for the next two days and Mars and the Sun opposing each other, standoffs between powerful egos are likely. However, the secret factor is the desire and admiration these egos have for one another. In all the fights or arguments we might get into right now, its a good idea to drop below the surface of our reasons for discord and search for the hidden desires we have for something the other person has that we do not. There is admiration in the air right now, along with the conflict. The word admire means to wonder at. We may find, in other words, that we are fighting exactly what we are wondering at in the next few days. Either that or we may wonder at our own motives. Strong in one moment...weak in the knees the next. For example...is the looming conflict with Russia really about the Ukraine, or is it about different forms of personal interest or imperialism? We wonder at what we are fighting over. The admiration in the midst of conflict comes in large part from the presence of Mars in the Venus ruled sign of Libra. Meanwhile, disposing for Mars is Venus in Pisces, applying to conjoin Neptune. The angel wildcard nobody can see yet...rising out of the waters while the puzzled fight continues. Its likely that in the next few days something quite beautiful will grace us in the midst of a conflict that is simultaneously building. The hope is that this showing of Venus/Neptune will fill us with grace and bring forward this secret admiration for our adversaries. There are of course so many possibilities.
